My friends and their son are expecting a new addition to the family (in a matter of days). Upon seeing my art show in May, the husband had mentioned that maybe his wife would like an art quilt about motherhood instead of the traditional baby quilt. It stuck with me; since then I’ve been looking for photos about motherhood that could translate into an art quilt.
When I received the baby shower invite, I forced myself to pick a photo (I had many pinned) and settled on the photo below for inspiration, but decided that dad needed to be there too.
Four days for inspired sewing resulted in the final art quilt. It’s such a sweet way to welcome baby and celebrate their growing family.
And baby makes 4 (23†x 27â€)
I love it!
You are so talented!
You AMAZE me!!
This is really nice, and a great idea. Congratulations on the new machine. I haven’t checked your site for a while. Work has been very stressful- just didn’t think of it. WOW. I enjoy seeing your work and reading about what you are doing, how you did it . I have a lot of catching up to do.
