SAQA (Studio Art Quilt Associates) has an annual benefit auction. Members are asked to donate a piece for the auction hosted online. This year I used Alaska mountains as my inspiration and dove into more drawing with thread. This piece turned out better than I expected. The blue and green against the snow covered mountains
Drawing with thread has been my therapy lately. The sound of my sewing machine is soothing and my hands know what to do even if my brain is wandering. I keep making typewriters – they are fun and remind me that my story isn’t finished – it’s still being written with many adventures ahead.
