A basket full of hearts – a few blowing out The background is quilted with words like “ride happy,” “joy on a bike” and “bike happy” before the bike appliqué is added. Blue heart bike (14” x 9”) This is what the back looks like. Some day I hope to stitch a bike like this

This was created for a bird theme challenge. The bird fabric makes a great shirt on this quilt, but I think I’d like a whole skirt of this. I like seeing the finishing quilt next to the sketch. I decided to use my handwriting fabric instead of a stitching on blank fabric as I thought

a red bike with a basket filled with orange flowers and green leaves Ride for fun – red bike (14” x 9”) Before finishing the Bicycles pattern, I had to try the small size bike. This fits a sheet of paper; it’s a cute size and great for using tiny scraps.

summer fun stitched into the sky, a girl sneaking a taste barefoot in the grass Harvesting blueberries is yummy (9” x 12”) It’s wild berry picking season here in Alaska. I haven’t gone to pick any myself, but I do enjoy blueberries. In a bowl by themselves or in blueberry banana pancakes.
