The winter quilts are done! I was listening to holiday songs as I finished these so each one has a line for a holiday song as the sentiment. This girl is cozy and ready for a jaunt on a sled or a sleigh. Her days are merry and bright (6†x 10â€)
I’m still working on winter quilts but I’m also working some commission pieces. These are basted and ready for background quilting. It’s going to be a fun and busy week!

Some of my winter sketches have been traced onto the release paper of fusible webbing and ironed to various scraps. The backgrounds have cool blue skies, festive trees and white on white snow stitched with wavy lines. Now for the cutting of small clothes and shoes and later the fusing of people onto the backgrounds.
