Finds Beauty in Discarded Treasures (14” x 17”)

The gallery is in this building – it’s part of a ski resort about 30 miles from my home. View as I was unpacking quilts – my show went up in the side gallery – a small room off the main gallery space – that’s why we call it a mini show. Here’s the view

I spent today hanging my art for a mini show. The theme is Happiness Adventure. Each girl is either doing something adventurous or sharing her happiness with the world (or both). I worked on more than 45 quilts in April – completing over 3 dozen of them. Those quilts along with some larger pieces finished

You may well remember the journal cover I created with a paper version of this girl. I finally made a quilted version. She is better than I imagined. Since the quilt is so large and the background rather muted, I stitched the sentiment directly onto the quilt. I used my own text print for the

I think I have finally used up the last of these green and cream fabric scraps have been lurking in my studio for far to long. They make a great background. My art show goes up in 3 days – it’s been a busy month preparing and these giveaways have been super fun. Thank you
