SAQA (Studio Art Quilt Associates) has an annual benefit auction. Members are asked to donate a piece for the auction hosted online. Drawing with thread has been my therapy lately. The sound of my sewing machine is soothing and my hands know what to do even if my brain is wandering. I keep making typewriters – they are fun and remind me that my story isn’t finished – it’s still being written with many adventures ahead.

I have been drawing with thousands of yards of thread and my sewing machine to create new pieces for a show opening next week. There are several mountain inspired pieces and about three dozen other thread drawn pieces in a variety of themes ranging from silly to pretty.
