My newest fabric book highlights the collections in my studio – all things I love or make me smile. The book pages are muslin constructed on canvas duck and cotton batting. I sewed boxes to capture a snippet of things I collect. The pages above includes old jewelry, wire, keys, funky paperclips and tape measure […]

I’m Giddy – Quilts Published!
I was excited giddy to see the summer issue of Sew Somerset in the bookstore today! I have two articles inside: Stampington & Company did a fabulous job with the photos and layout. I’m honored to be included – the issue is fantastic.
Are They Finished?
I created the two quilts below in early 2010 and I still can’t decide if they are finished. Oh, they are bound and I’ve attached hangers – so technically they are completed pieces. They are cute and close to how I imagined they would turn out, but something in the back of mind tells me […]

She let her inner artist explore (6†x 10â€) Each art quilt started as a painting that was scanned and printed onto cotton fabric. The prints […]
She said ‘I do’
She said ‘I do’ to her dreams (16†x 13†I ordered a ruffling foot for my sewing machine. The test strips of muslin I was playing with reminded me of layers of a skirt. When the ruffles were paired with a green background and a bit of black, I had a new quilt for […]
Challenge
Numbers, Letters & Circles (16†x 22â€) The evening group of the Anchorage Log Cabin Quilters posed a paint chip challenge. We were to find 3 paint chips with colors that started with our initials and then make a quilt no more than 2 feet square. The colors I selected are Council oaks (green), Arabian […]

Eklutna Lake The trees have started budding here in Alaska. The weather has been beautiful and I’ve been on my bike going for miles and miles. Riding my bike makes me happy! And I love that it makes other people smile when they see it. Bike at Goose Lake Sorry there are no new creations […]
Midnight & Cream
I saw this pattern on Moda Bakeshop that I adapted to use larger cream pieces and not make the pieced back. Overall size is 65†square. The quilting is concentric squares. Top fabric is all from the Basic Grey Authentic line. Back is Heidi Grace Midnight Kiss fabric.
Spring Green Quilt
After making the birthday quilt, I was inspired to use fabric I had to make some other quilts. The celery green, cream and tan was springy and despite the quilt being square, the blocks didn’t stay square as I quilted. I’m still practicing my machine quilting on larger quilts – this one is 54†square.
