A puffy tutu, a star topped magic wand and pink hair – it makes me so happy. She dances everyday (9†x 12â€)

Understanding Soul
Glad is stitched into the background and yes, that is a guy on a mini art quilt. Understanding soul (5.5†x 9â€) I like the hands in the pocket look and all the decorative stitching on his shirt.
Kitties and Puppies
I’ve been trying to stitch pet portraits. Doing so without drawing them first, is a bit of challenge but it’s fun to color them after all the stitching is complete. The cats look so serious and the puppies all look happy. Guess that is rather fitting for cats vs. dogs. This side profile is a […]
Create Happiness
The word ‘happy’ stitched into the background and the pig tails are my favorite parts of this mini wallhanging. Create Happiness (5.5†x 9â€)
Dare to Dream BIG
Brown hair tucked behind her shoulders and a purple dress embellished with a line of stars A subtle background with 3 stitched words – dare to dream Dream Big (5.5†x 9â€)
Triangle Ledger Throw
I pulled 3 solids and 3 prints and began cutting 60 degree triangles and strips in various sizes. Using improvisational piecing, I created a quilt top using the ledger print as my primary neutral. The final quilt measures 54†x 54â€. I picked the teal triangle toward the bottom as my pattern for echo quilting […]
With Each Adventure She Collects a Trinket
Ruffled layers filled with bits and baubles, ribbon and lace A background of autumn reds, yellows and oranges To contrast the background, I used forest green, copper and brass for the collection. With each adventure she collects a trinket (13†x 17â€)
Hello Bliss
Creative making is my bliss. What is your bliss? Hello Bliss (9†x 11â€) The background fabric is layered with woven voile in gray and pink. The pattern and numbers can just be seen under it. Discovering fabrics in my scrap bins that layer like this has been fun.
Imagine
A floral headband in her strawberry blonde hair highlighted with a bit of blue. Imagine (9†x 16) I’m enjoying the layered background. At the top of this piece, a text and number print is layers below the dressmaker print. With addition of extra stitching, an added bit of texture and interest is created.
