It was warm today – warmer than usual and beautiful. A fun day to sew holiday stockings with my quilt guild. Everyday outside is a blessing (13†x 17â€)

Creative Chaos
This was my coffee table on Saturday night. It’s filled with thread drawn sketches, tiny portrait prints, journals and the supplies to finish them. I went to bed that night content – happy to have created a bit of chaos even if only on my coffee table. Journals were taken to the GCVA gallery in […]
Ready for Fun
Yesterday I was up early to straighten and organize my studio/office spaces before spending the day sewing with a friend. As I folded fabric and put away supplies the ideas for what to work on bubbled up and once done, my space, while not “clean†was ready for fun. Surfaces were clear and so was […]
Magic
Oodles of tulle adorn this magic making ballerina. She may not cast spells as they do in The Magicians (the show we’ve been binge watching), but she can enchant with her cuteness. She loves being on stage (9†x 12â€)
Inspiration Found
The quilt shop is hosting a retreat workshop – two 3 day sessions of thread painting with Barbara Shapel. The work they are doing is amazing! It’s inspiring to see what people create. Inspiration is found at a quilt shop (9†x 12â€)
Bikes Every Day
It’s been windy but beautiful today. Nice after yesterday’s clouds and rain. We didn’t bike, but we walked around downtown in search of a few things for home. We didn’t quite find everything we needed, but we enjoyed the sun and being out and about. He bikes every day (9†x 12â€)
She Loves the Beach
A girl and her dog – a commission piece. I made two of these, each similar but unique, and gave the requestor the choice of which would be finalized. She loves the beach (6†x 11â€) After selecting this piece, I hand stitched the name of the girl on her shirt and made a little […]
Crafting Kindness
Yesterday, I stopped by the bookstore to pick up some magazines after having devoured 8 magazines in the last week. Today, I fell into a book (The Witches of Cambridge by Menna Van Praag) and I have been reading more than I’ve been in the studio. It doesn’t help my to-do list shrink, but getting […]
