I couldn’t resist this Cori Dantini fabric when I saw it at a local quilt shop. The panels are adorable.
I found an earlier fabric lineavailable on Etsy and combined them to have 14 unique panels in 2 sizes.
I don’t usually do borders, but the pink and flowers seemed to tie everything together.
It’s backed with 4 different fabric that echo the collage elements in the prints.
It’s quilted with a closely spaced square spiral.
My cats love it as much as I do.
Today’s question: What was the last project you created for yourself?
That is a great fabric. I hadn’t seen it before. You made a lovely quilt for you and your cats too! Lol!!! The kitties look happy.
Right now I’m making quilts for each of our pets, which are “kind of” quilts for me. I can machine quilt them without anxiety about how they’ll turn out because I know they’ll be well-loved.
Next week I’m taking four quilt tops to my machine quilter, and three of them are for our house, projects I set out on based on a whim or a vision. So all three were for me, and I can hardly wait to see them finished and then take a nap under each of them.
I love this quilt – I wonder if the fabric is available here(UK)???
The last thing I made for me was a bucket bag(Michelle Patterns)
First HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope you are going to do something fun today!
I love this fabric and the quilt you made for yourself!
Oh wow project for myself…a beaded peyote bracelet. I also journal everyday and do little scrappy things in the book!
Your quilt is just perfect…it has Carrie written all over it !
such a pretty quilt 🙂 I haven’t made anything for myself for about 2 years – and that was a small lap quilt. I would love to make a supertote for me, but too many other projects on the go at the moment!
