Dare to rip up paper and junk mail and stitch it to paper – it won’t break your sewing machine – it will dull a needle. I have a box of dull needles – when I don’t want to use them with fabric anymore, I put them in the box and use them for stitching paper. Once used for paper, they go in the trash.
