Magpie Girl 3 – She kept baubles to remember

Magpie Girl 3 (13” x 23”)

After the bright collection of magpie girl 1, I wanted something more subtle; so I gathered soft, romantic bits and baubles including charms I had from a long ago valentine charm swap.

I was thrilled to use tiny bits of marbled paper that I’d been keeping for years.

And torn bits of lace and hand dyed fabrics finally found a home on her wire dress.

I attempted to stitch doily patterns on the background – but sometimes just opted for swirls and spirals to fill all the space.
