One of my first thoughts was “quinceanera” – celebration for spanish girls turning 15 and entering womanhood. And they wear beautiful dresses

She is waiting for someone to ask her to dance. It remind sme of some of the books my mother would read where the lady was a ‘wallflower’ while she waited for the man to come ask for a dance.
