Magpie Girl 5 in Pink – shiny baubles made her heart leap

Magpie Girl 5 (7.5” x 12.5”)

I’ve finished 4 more magpie girl quilts – these 4 are smaller than the first set I made. I like the smaller size but it has been a challenge to select baubles – the scale of some items I wanted to attach wasn’t quite right.

This first magpie girl of this set collects hearts and loves pink and is drawn to shiny items (as am I).

Her ruffled dress is filled with details that my camera cannot always capture: hand stitching, bits of lace and ric rac, labels, charms, buttons, tiny knots.

I’ve stopped hiding my stitches and I’ve been finding the back of my quilt beautiful.
