Magpie Girl 6 in Green – she enjoyed her collection

Magpie Girl 6 (7.5” x 12.5”)

Magpie Girl 6 is set on a background of prized hand-marbled fabric. I decided they would be better used in art quilts than sitting on my shelf.

Her dress with has ruffles of white muslin, cotton eyelet lace and polyester lace. She collects items in green.

Again, my camera can’t capture all the details hidden in the ruffles: hand stitching, tags, buttons, brads, charms, broken jewelry, keys and beads.

I stitched the background following the design in the marbled fabric. The bottom of the background is a solid blue densely stitched though mostly hidden by the dress.
