Rainy Day Girl 1

Sometimes the quilt I thought I was working on becomes something else entirely – something better.

I drew this girl, minus the umbrella, for another quilt top, but once I started putting her together, it just didn’t seem right.

I sketched an umbrella and then remembered this blue rain fabric.

Add some green grass, a few flowers, a lace trimmed skirt and kickin’ boots and a quilt is born.

Even on dark, rainy day the flowers bloom (approx. 11” x 15”)
